Helen is the joint Managing Director and co-founder of Hoho Entertainment, a children’s production and rights management company dedicated to developing intellectual properties that are designed to be seen and experienced on all media platforms.
She is a multi-skilled entertainment professional with a wealth of creative and commercial experience across a number of disciplines including Production, Distribution, Licensing and Merchandising, Marketing and PR. Helen oversees the company’s commercial activities both domestically and internationally and also serves as an Executive Producer on Hoho’s in-house developed properties such as for Cloudbabies and Shane the Chef (soon to launch on Channel 5’s Milkshake!).
Helen began her career with S4C International, the commercial arm of the Welsh 4th broadcast channel, where she worked on classic children’s shows such as Fireman Sam and SuperTed.
She later joined US entertainment company, 4 Kids Entertainment as Director of International Licensing and latterly became Commercial Director. During this time she managed the international licensing rights for hit children’s properties Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Nintendo and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
In 2004 she joined Target Entertainment and was tasked with setting up the company’s licensing and merchandising division. There she implemented the UK and international licensing rollout for Fifi and the Flowertots, the UK’s number one pre-school show for girls at the time. As Commercial Director her remit was to build and implement strategic licensing programmes for the company’s represented brands (including Sony PlayStation and its associated video game titles) across all platforms and media.
