LAURA TOFARIDES

 

Laura Tofarides (toff-ah-ree-dees) is a Welsh Stop-motion Animator and puppetmaker based in Cardiff.

After completing her animation degree at the University of the West of England in 2014, Laura went on to earn a Certificate in Character Animation from the National Film & Television School in partnership with Aardman Animations. Laura has animated in the UK and internationally across commercials, shorts, TV series and films including, Chuck Steel: Night of the Trampires, Aardman's Early Man, Wes Anderson's Isle of Dogs and most recently on Shaun The Sheep.

Laura volunteers with a number of domestic and International NGO's such as VSO, Oasis and Team Rubicon. These NGO's work across international development, helping refugees in Cardiff and humanitarian disaster response.

Laura helped to organise this year's Cardiff Animation Festival, as well as being guest liason and part of the selection panel. She is very much looking forward to seeing you there so don't be afraid to come and say hi!
