LESEGO VORSTER
Lesego Vorster was born and raised in Diepkloof, Soweto. Having the love for drawing at an early age, he knew his path would involve drawing of some kind. He graduated from Wits with an Honours in Fine Arts degree and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Animation. With his interest in imparting the knowledge which he himself found hard to uncover, he went and taught at The Animation School in Johannesburg for just under 3 years before embarking on a journey to go do his Masters at the prestigious Gobelins l’ecole de l’image in Paris, France. Since his return, he has been instrumental in launching and is managing the animation programme at Tshimologong Digital Precinct and has co-founded his own studio, The Hidden Hand Studios, which focuses on high-end animation with a strong focus on African 2D aesthetics.
