PAULA POVEDA-URRUTIA

Paula Poveda-Urrutia was born in Madrid, Spain and has lived and worked in quite a few places across Europe and the US. Paula’s career started working in film festivals in Seattle, Edinburgh and Rotterdam and after completing her degree in film studies, she decided to focus on production. While working in advertising, Paula came across the film Mary and Max (screened at EIFF) and immediately fell in love with animation. She got her first job in the industry at Aardman and since then, she hasn’t stopped working in all sorts of projects long/short/stop-motion/2D/3D. Paula loves helping good people tell good stories and now is enjoying writing a few of her own!
