THE STUDENT JURY
Meet the CAF student jury, who will decide which of the 59 non-student films in competition will receive CAF 2018's Student Jury award.
CARYS CARTER
Carys Carter is a third year stop motion animation student studying at the University of South Wales. She is currently in the process of making an animation showreel consisting of her own work and projects from work experience at Mangostone and Aardman, allowing her to show case her skills in puppet building, sets and animation.
After graduation, Carys hopes her skills will allow her to pursue a career in animation production.
TIM HAWKINS
Tim is a freelance editor, animator and former-Londoner, now transplanted into the green loveliness of Wales.
Last year he decided he was having too much sleep so he began studying for an MA in Animation Production at the University of South Wales.
He co-organised the first Quickdraw Animation Jam competition with fellow student Michael Wiltshire.
EIRIAN DAVIES
Eirian Davies is a Cardiff-based 2D animation student at the University of South Wales. Eirian specializes in hand-drawn animation and character design, and is currently working on her third-year final film.
When she completes her degree in May, Eirian will begin work at Cloth Cat Animation as a Trainee Layout Artist.
MICHAEL WILTSHIRE
Michael Wiltshire is currently doing a Masters in Animation, making hologram ballet dancers for a stage show project.
He began animating while working in a white label marketing company and would like to continue exploring alternative media.
He co-organised the first Quickdraw Animation Jam competition with fellow student Tim Hawkins.
SOPHIE SEYMOUR
Sophie is a graduate from North Wales School of Art and Design in Animation, Visual Effects and game art.
Now studying a Masters in Animation at the University of South Wales, hoping to pursue a career in 3D stop motion animation.
