Join Cardiff Animation Festival with local cartoonist and animator Josh Hicks who will share the skills needed to create your very own unique characters and manga comic! Throughout the workshop you will learn all about the variety of styles seen in this much beloved Japanese artform.
All materials will be provided and the workshop is open to all skill levels.

The last time Momo saw her father, they had a fight. Now all she has left to remember him by is an incomplete letter penned with the words "Dear Momo," but nothing more.
Moving with her mother to the remote Japanese island of Shio, Momo soon discovers three Yokai living in her attic, a trio of mischievous spirit creatures that only she can see and who create mayhem in the tiny seaside community as she tries desperately to keep them hidden. But these funny monsters have a serious side and may hold the key to helping Momo discover what her father had been trying to tell her.

When you're a bored teenager looking for thrills sometimes the only thing you can turn to is rock ’n’ roll. Having no skill, money, or even a full set of drums, a trio of high school delinquents nevertheless decide they are destined for musical glory in a quest to impress their only friend Aya, avoid a rival gang, and (most importantly) jam. With innovative, hand-drawn animation and a performance from a Japanese rock legend, this is a film with a deadpan humour that brings its own sound and vision to the Hiroyuki Ohashi manga.
