How do CAF26 Passes work?
You can purchase your early bird festival pass via Chapter’s website from Monday 2 February, 10am. Your pass will be assigned to the email address with which you purchase your pass. Only one pass can be added per account.

Early Bird Festival Passes are £72 (full price) / £48 (concessions).

Festival Passes are £90 (full price) / £60 (concessions).
Your festival pass will give you access to ticketed, in-person CAF26 events at Chapter from 23-26 April (excluding industry day events). However, you must still book a ticket for each event you wish to attend to guarantee entry, as capacity is limited.

Industry Day Passes are £25 (full price) / £15 (concessions).
Your Industry Pass will give you access to ticketed, in-person CAF26 industry events taking place at Chapter on Thursday 23 April. Booking is still required for each event to secure your place.

What if I change my mind after I collect my tickets?​
If you’re a pass holder and can't make it to an event you've collected a ticket for, please return it to Chapter as soon as possible. You can do this by emailing enquiry@chapter.org, calling them on +44 (0)29 2031 1050 or visit Chapter’s Information Desk to let them know. This means your ticket for that event can be released so another festival-goer can enjoy it.

If you decide you’d like to attend an event you didn’t book in advance, you can visit Chapter’s Information Desk and collect a free ticket using your Festival Pass, subject to availability.

What if an event is sold out?​
All ticket holders must be seated at least 5 minutes before the event or screening begins. If an event is sold out, any unclaimed seats may be released shortly before the start time. Pass holders may be able to access these seats on a first-come, first-served basis, but this cannot be guaranteed.​

Can I buy tickets to individual events if I don't want a full pass?
Yes! Tickets for individual events will go on sale when our full programme and festival calendar is released on Wednesday 4 March.​ March.​

How much will individual tickets cost?
We keep our tickets and passes as low-cost as possible to try and be as accessible as we can. Tickets for individual events will cost between £7 and £9.
If you’re aged 16-30, you can join Chapter Clwb for 2 free cinema tickets when you sign up (to be used in the first month) and cinema, theatre and event tickets for just £5.

Is there a booking fee?
For bookings to in-person events at Chapter, a £1 booking fee applies per transaction. You can avoid paying this multiple times by booking all your tickets in one session.

Group Bookings​
If you're coming to Cardiff Animation Festival as part of a university group or other big group of 10 or more people, speak to us about group booking discounts - just drop us an email to festival@cardiffanimation.com, let us know a bit about your group and how many people you expect will be coming.

ONLINE PASS FAQ
​How do Online Passes work?
An Online Pass gives you access to all online events at this year’s Cardiff Animation Weekender.
There are a limited number of Early Bird passes for £15.
Once they have sold out regular passes will go on sale for £20.
Some events will be free or individually priced at £3 - pay what you can.
Where will the Festival be hosted online?
The Cardiff Animation Weekender online will be hosted on a site called Eventive.

What device will I need to watch the festival online?
You can watch all events from your smart devices/laptop/computer, you can also cast to your television.

Where can I find the festival schedule?
The full schedule of festival events will be available on our website soon and also on our Eventive Virtual Festival page

How do I purchase individual tickets for each event?
To purchase a ticket for an individual event/programme go to the Eventive virtual festival page, there you will find all the online events and screenings. Select the screening or event you would like to book a ticket for, you will then need to enter your email address and card details to create an account on Eventive. You will then have 7 days to activate the screening, once activated you will have 5 days to watch the screening/event. Wherever possible we are offering tickets on a pay-what-you-can basis. Tickets for each event will go on sale on the 14th of April.

How do I book tickets with my pass?
Once you have bought a ticket head to our Virtual Festival Page there you will see all the screenings and events. Log in to your account and select each event you would like to attend. You can pre-book events with your festival pass. When you have ordered the tickets that you want you can watch these at any time they are available. Once activated (you have pressed Watch Now) you will have 5 days to watch the screening/event. ​

I don't live in the UK – can I still watch the festival events online?
Yes you can! A selection of our Q+As and shorts programmes are available wherever you are in the world! Some films don't allow to be viewed online so some will not be available in the online programme.

Are the screenings/events accessible?
All our screenings will have subtitles available either embedded in the film itself or available as closed captions. To enable the subtitles for screening on Eventive and YouTube please press 'CC' in the corner of the video. All our live events (Q+As, masterclasses and panels) will have live captions available.

Gallwch rag-archebu digwyddiadau gyda phàs yr ŵyl. Pan fyddwch wedi archebu’r tocynnau, gallwch wylio’r rhain ar unrhyw adeg maen nhw ar gael. Ar ôl iddynt gael eu hactifadu (hynny yw pan fyddwch chi’n pwyso Watch Now), bydd gennych 5 diwrnod i wylio’r dangosiad/digwyddiad.
