JEZ STEWART

Jez Stewart is a curator at the BFI National Archive, responsible for the animation collection. He joined the BFI in 2001, working extensively with the non-fiction and advertising collections, while developing his specialist interest in British animation history.
​
He has given talks in Beijing, New York, across Europe and the UK, as well as to the staff at Disney, and written for a variety of publications. His 2021 book The Story of British Animation was the first comprehensive history of the subject to be published. He co-curated the “Animation 2018” season at the BFI in London.

Curadur yn Archif Genedlaethol y BFI yw Jez Stewart, sy’n gyfrifol am y casgliad animeiddio. Ymunodd â’r BFI yn 2001, gan weithio’n helaeth gyda’r casgliadau ffeithiol a hysbysebu, a datblygu ei ddiddordeb arbenigol yn hanes animeiddio Prydain.
Mae e wedi rhoi sgyrsiau yn Beijing, Efrog Newydd, ledled Ewrop a gwledydd Prydain, a hefyd i’r staff yn Disney, ac mae wedi ysgrifennu ar gyfer amrywiaeth o gyhoeddiadau. Ei lyfr, The Story of British Animation, o 2021 oedd yr hanes cynhwysfawr cyntaf o’r pwnc i gael ei gyhoeddi. Cyd-guradodd y tymor “Animeiddio 2018” yn y BFI yn Llundain.
