JO ALLEN

Jo is Commissioning Editor for Animation at BBC Childrens & Education. Her role is to assess submissions develop projects and work on commissions for the channel. 

​

Since joining the BBC commissioning team in 2016, Jo has been Executive Producer for the BBC on Emmy Nominated ‘Dennis & Gnasher Unleashed’, ‘Boy Girl Dog Cat Mouse Cheese’, Super Happy Magic Forest’ and the RTS Award winning ’Quentin Blake’s Box of Treasures’.

Before  that she worked as senior producer at Aardman on commercials, series including ‘Angry Kid’ and ‘Rex the Runt’ and short films including the Academy Award nominated ‘Wat’s Pig’ and the Bafta winning ‘Pearce Sisters’.
