PHIL BROOKES
Phil Brookes is a Welsh composer, sound designer and voice actor specialising in narrative-driven audio for animation, film, television and digital media. With over a decade of professional experience, he works across music composition, sound design, foley, audio editing and mixing, shaping cohesive sonic storytelling from concept through to final delivery.
His work includes multi-award-winning films screened at festivals including the Cannes Film Festival, the BFI London Film Festival, the Ottawa International Animation Festival and the GLAS Animation Festival, alongside collaborations with organisations including Greenpeace, Tate, IKEA, TED and Adult Swim. Known for combining creative intuition with technical precision, he collaborates closely with directors, animators and editors to create emotionally engaging soundscapes, from subtle atmospheric design to music-led narrative moments. A multi-instrumentalist and producer, he brings a multidisciplinary approach to building distinctive sonic identities across broadcast, animation and branded projects.
