PIP WILLIAMSON

Pip Williamson is a self-taught freelance 2D animator best known for her animation work on the BAFTA-winning video game Thank Goodness You're Here. The game, which coins for itself the unique label 'slapformer' is a madcap action comedy set in a fictional Northern town. Pip's animation takes cues from the humour in the character designs and storyline dreamed up by her friends and collaborators - James Carbutt and Will Todd, as well as the sincere silliness the duo brought to the working environment during production. Pip is an enthusiastic advocate for play in the creative process and cites the success of Thank Goodness You're Here as her case for a fun-first approach to creativity.

Animeiddiwr 2D llawrydd hunanddysgedig yw Pip Williamson, sy’n fwyaf adnabyddus am ei gwaith animeiddio ar y gêm fideo a enillodd wobr BAFTA, Thank Goodness You’re Here. Mae’r gêm, sydd wedi rhoi’r label unigryw ‘slapformer’ i’w hunan, yn gomedi gyffro wallgo wedi’i gosod mewn tre ffuglennol yng ngogledd Lloegr. Mae animeiddiad Pip yn cael ei dywys gan yr hiwmor yn nyluniadau’r cymeriadau a’r stori a gafodd ei llunio gan ei ffrindiau a’i chydweithwyr – James Carbutt a Will Todd – yn ogystal â’r ffolineb diffuant a gynigiodd y ddau i’r amgylchedd gweithio ar y cam cynhyrchu. Mae Pip yn eiriolwr brwd dros chwarae yn ystod y broses greadigol, ac mae’n diolch i’w hymagwedd hwyl-yn-gyntaf at greadigrwydd am lwyddiant Thank Goodness You’re Here.
