FREELANCE MARKETING MANAGER

This is a part time freelance opportunity, commencing in mid-November and running to the end of March 2022, with the possibility to keep working with us after March 2022. Hours and days will be determined with the candidate; we estimate 20 days between November-March.

Flexible. We are happy for this role to be fully remote, or partly or fully based at our space in Chapter, Cardiff. The candidate will need to be able to attend the festival dates in Cardiff 23-27 March 2022.

Cardiff Animation Festival is seeking a freelance Marketing Manager to work with us on CAF 2022.

 

CAF is returning to cinemas and online 24-27 March 2022 with a hybrid programme of animation for everyone. The festival will feature shorts, feature films, talks, masterclasses, workshops, parties, networking and industry events. We also run a year-round programme of Cardiff Animation Nights screenings online and at Cardiff venues.

 

We are looking to appoint a Marketing Manager to help the festival reach new and existing audiences. After two years of digital activity, we want our hybrid programme to serve our core audience and our new audiences across Wales and beyond; we also want to develop and grow our audience.

 

The Marketing Manager will be a key member of the festival team. They will lead on CAF’s marketing strategy, working with the Festival Director, Festival Manager and Development Manager to develop this strategy to reach our core, new and target audiences, and devise marketing campaigns across digital and print.

 

Our ideal candidate will be experienced, enthusiastic, organised, creative, and will share our love of animation, events and inclusivity. Welsh language skills would be a bonus but aren’t essential. 

 

We are committed to supporting access needs and will collaborate with the freelancer to support best working practices for them (around neurodiversity, disability, caring responsibilities, mental health needs, etc). We encourage applications from diverse candidates.
