MICHAEL SHORTEN

 

Michael Shorten is a Senior Concept Artist and Art Director, having graduated in 2006 with a BA (Hons) in Animation Production from The Arts Institute at Bournemouth. His notable credits include Sylvain Chomet's "The Illusionist," Aardman Animation's "Arthur Christmas," and the BBC & HBO's television adaptation of Philip Pullman's "His Dark Materials" series.

 

His most recent credits include "Chicken Run: Dawn Of The Nugget" and the upcoming “That Christmas,” written by Richard Curtis. Michael has also designed for a variety of high-profile commercials, such as Nike's "The Last Game," aired during the 2016 FIFA World Cup, which garnered over 150 million views worldwide, as well as numerous television series’ including "Moominvalley.”
