Pip started her career in Motion Design. She only later crossed the bridge into Animation after teaching herself to ‘actually draw’. She got to grips with frame by frame animation whilst freelancing. And it was an early collaboration with friends (James and Will of Coal Supper) that led her into the world of games. Together they created the BAFTA winning indie game ‘Thank Goodness You’re Here’. An ode to hand-drawn animation and good-old British humor.

During her talk, Pip will dive into her experience while creating the game. How did they force a film & TV animation pipeline into a game engine? What happens when you neglect sophisticated gameplay to instead prioritise voice acting and animation? Should this have been a film instead? All these questions will be answered by the very own Animation Team Lead of ‘Thank Goodness You’re Here!’
