TRACY SPOTTISWOODE
Tracy is an award winning writer-director and animator. Her first stop-motion animated short film CODENAME CORGI was recipient of 6 prizes, including 2 x BAFTA Cymru awards, 1st at BAF and Gold at Chicago International Film Festival. Tracy was Development Exec and Manager of BFI NETWORK Wales at Ffilm Cymru between 2010-2017.
In 2018 Tracy received a Creative Wales award to research and develop XR storytelling in which led to the creation of the first artistic 360VR film in Welsh and English - A SIGNAL ACROSS SPACE / ARWYDD DRWY’R AWYR - which premiered at the Wales Millennium Centre in 2022.
Her recent Beacons short, funded by BFI NETWORK Wales & BBC Cymru - SALLY LEAPT OUT OF THE WINDOW LAST NIGHT - has won awards at festivals internationally, including Best Female Director at Venice Shorts 2023, Best LGBT+ Film in Stockholm City Film Festival and the Chapter Queer Short Film Prize.
Tracy is currently Talent Development Manager at Ffilm Cymru Wales.
