BSL interpretation by Claire Anderson

Poor mental health has been recognised as a serious problem across the creative industries for many years, leading to many people abandoning or seriously considering leaving the creative sector. People working in film and TV are twice as likely to experience anxiety compared with the national average. In the animation industry, factors like long working hours, high quotas, lack of transparency around pay and the realities of contract work can negatively impact health and wellbeing. So what can we do about it? How can we build an animation industry that's safe, healthy, and supports everyone on the team to meet their full potential without sacrificing their wellbeing? Join speakers from across the animation and wider creative industries to explore these questions.

"I get really cross when I hear people say that it's about survival of the fittest, you've got to just be tough, you've got to be resilient – if we want to tell stories that reflect our society we have to create a space where all different types of people can work." – contributor to Film and TV Charity's groud-breaking Looking Glass research into the wellbeing of people working in film, TV and cinema.

Mae iechyd meddwl gwael wedi cael ei gydnabod fel problem ddifrifol ar draws y diwydiannau creadigol ers blynyddoedd lawer, gan arwain at lawer o bobl yn cefnu neu'n ystyried o ddifrif gadael y sector creadigol. Mae pobl sy'n gweithio ym maes ffilm a theledu ddwywaith yn fwy tebygol o brofi pryder o gymharu â'r cyfartaledd cenedlaethol. Yn y diwydiant animeiddio, gall ffactorau fel oriau gwaith hir, cwotâu uchel, diffyg tryloywder o amgylch cyflog a realiti gwaith contract effeithio'n negyddol ar iechyd a lles. Felly beth allwn ni ei wneud yn ei gylch? Sut allwn ni adeiladu diwydiant animeiddio sy'n ddiogel, yn iach, ac yn cefnogi pawb ar y tîm i gwrdd â'u potensial llawn heb aberthu eu lles? Ymunwch â siaradwyr o bob rhan o'r diwydiant animeiddio a'r diwydiannau creadigol ehangach i archwilio'r cwestiynau hyn.

"Rwy'n mynd yn flin iawn pan fyddaf yn clywed pobl yn dweud ei fod yn ymwneud â goroesiad y cymhwysaf, mae'n rhaid i chi fod yn galed, mae'n rhaid i chi fod yn wydn - os ydym am adrodd storïau sy'n adlewyrchu ein cymdeithas mae'n rhaid i ni greu gofod lle gall pob math o bobl weithio." - cyfrannwr ymchwil arloesol yr Elusen Ffilm a Theledu Looking Glass i les pobl sy'n gweithio ym maes ffilm, teledu a sinema.
